About me
Originally from small town Illinois, I've somehow found myself (accompanied by my stumpy-tailed cat and husband) in Sydney, Australia.
I'm a compulsive traveler, avid reader, constantly improving cook and political junkie. I studied International Relations and History at Knox College and have a masters degree in Modern History from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
I've done precious little with the history degrees, but St Andrews did provide me with a husband. Wooed by his English accent, Ian and I have been crisscrossing the globe together for eleven years and counting. The Fourth of July is contentious holiday in our household, but we otherwise successfully tolerate each others cultural quirks. I'll let you determine who is the coffee drinker and who is the tea drinker.
We love Mexican food, hiking, trivial pursuit, drinking outdoors, planning real and imagined vacations and winding-up our cat. I love Neil Young.
I use a terrible combination of British and American spellings and have a mildly irritating mid-Atlantic accent.
I can be found over on Twitter @moegoestravelin.
